The Nebraska Paraeducator Conference is sponsored by the Nebraska Department of Education and Project PARA. This is the 24th annual conference and will be held at the Holiday Inn in Kearney, Nebraska on February 17, 2014.
The Nebraska Paraeducator Conference is our way to celebrate what it means to be a paraeducator and why paraeducators are important. It offers informational sessions on topics to help paraeducators meet the challenges today's school environments and to allow paraeducators the opportunity to meet others and share thoughts and ideas.
The conference this year will feature keynote presentation by Michalla Schartz, who will give a talk on "The Truth About Paraeducators: Snot, Crying and Sore Feet". We are also pleased to announce that Matt Blomstedt, our newly appointed Commissioner of Education will speak at the afternoon keynote.
